As military families we move from place to place, house to house, big to small and small to big. Throughout this process we sometimes collect more items then we need and getting rid of them can sometimes be a hassle. With the past safety issues some have endured using sites like Craigslist, there is a better solution for military families known as SargesList.

In There Words

SargesList is a brand new website that helps
military members lighten their load during PCS, or everyday, by selling or
donating their stuff to other military families locally or globally. With
over 500 installations worldwide, this FREE and made just-for-military
communities website offers local PCS information as well as local
classifieds for household goods, cars, real estate, pets, yard sales,
military savings and more!

SargesList.com is different from other sites because if you sign up with a
DOT MIL email, the site puts a paw stamp icon on the listings and
communications so that you can identify who has been verified with a DOT MIL
email. The site is fun, easy to use and has lots of neat functionality (save
favorites, alert feature that sends you emails when listings are added that
match what you are searching for, etc.). Heralded as the “Craigstlist for
military,” they are looking for local champions at each installation to post
listings and share them via social networks to help spread the word about
this valuable and free resource! They just added Afghanistan, Kuwait and
Iraq to help our troops in the Middle East buy, sell and trade needed items.
Check out http://www.SargesList.com and post and share with your network today! Oh,
and for every listing you post you get an another entry in their April 1st
Apple iPad drawing!!!

Disclosure: This is a courtesy post for Sargeslist, no form of compensation was received.

  2. Hi: I’m attempting to get the word out about new products I am offering to military families who are delivering babies while daddy is TDY. The concept of my new business, Storkables, is to make the delivery experience a family experience. Storkables offers many personalized gifts for everyone in the family, but the newest item is a letter from baby to daddy, to be printed on a t-shirt, coffee cup, pillow case, complete with YOUR baby’s footprints, and sent to daddy. Please let me know if you think your readers might be interested, and I will be happy to send you more information. If anyone needs me I live in San Diego and have been in the reserve service for 14 years and I can totally help with PCS stuff!!! Most of my friends are military, if I don’t know the answer one of them will.

I was raised in San Diego and have lived in many parts of this gorgeous city. I have kids and like to have fun with them outdoors and checking out museums. I know a lot about the school districts all around SD and you can totally ask away. We have a German Shepherd, I can tell you her favorite places too!

One super fun thing in San Diego for military families is attending military family nights at any of the Chick-Fil-A’s. You will be in for a treat!

And if San Diego is not in your future don’t hesitate to call me! I have friends, co-workers, and professional contacts all over the country.

    My love and blessings.
