I’m by no means a creative, crafty person, Pinteresty or even White Walls worthy (A decor group ran by military spouses). Something as simple as painting a wall is a challenge for me. All that aside I was tired of my house looking plain and having no personality. And with the Fall here I wanted to bring some of the colors of Autumn into my home…on a budget of course.

I decided to see what I could do to spice up my living room with the main focus being on my fire place mantel for less than $100. I then headed out to Pier 1, AC Moore , Dollar Tree , and Walmart.

Here’s The Before:

What Did I Get?  Pier 1- These cute little pumpkins napkin ring holders above were $1.98 each. As you can see I didn’t use and don’t plan on using them as napkin holders. We’re not that formal or fancy around here! Im simply placed them around the basket that you will see below.

AC Moore- This is where I scored. As you know AC Moore offers a military discount to AD and Retired personnel. Additionally, they just generally have good deals and coupons. Since a majority of the Fall decor was 60% off I got some great deals. This included Fall leave garland, pumpkin, pinecones, my cornucopia holder and last but not least was this amazing 8 piece wall ensemble (minus the pumpkins and vase) that was on clearance for….$10! I have been dying to get some of those little shelves and I’ve heard they are pricey so I thought that was a great find.

Sidenote- I cut a few leaves of the garland and stuck it in the hanging frame to bring the wall a little color.

Dollar Tree- Of course Dollar Tree is by far the cheapest. I was able to score a couple of candles that I won’t light but use for color accents. They are also great for candle holders, vases like the one above and extra leafy garland stuff. Lastly I purchased some vanilla potpourri to go in their little vases that are also $1.

Walmart- Of course the majority of my major finds affordably came from Walmart. The ones I really scored one were the “Give Thanks” basket, the fake fall bouquet, and all these awesome mini pumpkins which were $.98 a piece. For my living room I decided to add this little cheap table to the middle of the floor which was only $18. I added a rose gold runner that I previously had and found on Amazon for $5.    I should add the little pumpkin basket on the table was $2 at AC Moore. Lastly it’s amazing how you can spice up your boring couch with a few pattern pillows and one solid.

 Point of This Post

-You don’t need to spend a lot of money to add some fall colors. All in all I went over my budget by $10.22. However that includes everything you seen plus an area rug.  Get a few fall colored pumpkins, add a few new pillows and some leafy garland and you can bring Autumn into your home.  Then sit and enjoy the scenery with a cup of coffee.
