A Military Wife’s Girls Weekend in Myrtle Beach,South Carolina

The next morning I was greeted by the beautiful sunrise above. I let my friend sleep in as I stood out and watched a few people take peaceful strolls on the beach below. Serenity was in full effect here. As Kumbaya as it sounds I was almost brought to tears by how serene and beautiful the sunrise and ocean meeting were. You know we are on the go day to day and very rarely get the chance to enjoy sunrises like that , so it was a great feeling to know I didn’t have anywhere to be at that very moment. My best friend finally woke up and we headed down to get our continental breakfast and take in some of the beach again. After that it was time for one of the main highlights of the day which was hour long massages. Our Masseuse Cassandra was AMAZING!!! She massaged areas in my back I didn’t know existed. It was such a peaceful experience all overlooking the ocean.

After our massages we relaxed a bit and then of course hunger hit us. Myrtle Beach is known for great dining and one of my favorite places to eat there is Hooks Calabash. The Calabash is a mostly seafood buffet. Everything from shrimp to scallops to their famous unlimited crab legs. Even if seafood is not your thing there are several other non seafood choices. However, the majority of the folks go there to indulge in their juicy succulent crablegs and that is exactly what we did.

After eating we headed to Myrtle Beaches Tanger Outlets. It’s always cool to go to different outlets in other places because they always have stores that you don’t have where you live. I winded up in the VF Outlet with jeans and shirts that were 90% off. Of course I should have been shopping for myself but the mommy came out in me because I winded up shopping for the family instead of myself.

That evening we decided to be alittle risque and head out to one of the casino boats just outside of Myrtle Beach. I won $40 and my friend won $250 and although my motion sickness kicked in we had a great time out on the ocean.
