One of our favorite places to eat is Cracker Barrel. If you follow us on social then you’ve seen us occasionally share a pic or talk about them over the years. There is something super welcoming about being greeted by those cozy old fashion rocking chairs and checkers boards at the front door. And during the holidays one of my favorite places to shop for ornaments and nostalgic candy is their old-fashioned store. After we’ve shopped and sat outside we can’t get enough of their yummy corn muffins and biscuits or their meatloaf, or their fried fish, or their country fried steak or —well you get the picture! When we’re traveling, my family knows we can always feel familiar and at home at a Cracker Barrel right off the interstate.
Speaking of their famous rocking chairs, I’ve always wanted one and thought that they would make great gifts. There’s so much going on in our chaotic world and when I envision myself in one of those rockers, I see me and my hubby lounging on our porch just outside of Fort Bragg, watching aircraft flying over from Simmons Airfield and relaxing. I am not sure what it would mean to my readers to have a Cracker Barrel rocker, but I can only imagine it would mean something similar like spending time with a spouse, family member or bonding with your new baby.

That said I am excited to let you know that Cracker Barrel has partnered with Operation Homefront to bring their famous Rockers to military families in their new Operation Rocker campaign. “When you buy a rocker online from Cracker Barrel now through Labor Day, they’ll donate one to a military family in your name through their partnership with Operation Homefront, a national nonprofit whose mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military families.”
