I am bias to vacationing in Florida and love everything about it. I think it’s a combination of it always being close by pretty much every military base we were ever at, except Hawaii. It has a good combination of touristy and off the beaten path for those who want one or the other, or both!

“Starting November 11 at 9 a.m. EST, the first 2,500 eligible service members who complete the online military appreciation form at http://www.westgatedestinations.com/thankyoumilitary will receive a complimentary three-day, two-night vacation at one of the following resorts: Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo (River Ranch, Fla.), Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa (Orlando, Fla.), Westgate Vacation Villas Resort & Spa (Kissimmee, Fla.), Westgate Town Center Resort & Spa (Kissimmee, Fla.), Westgate Towers Resort (Kissimmee, Fla.), Westgate Branson Woods Resort (Branson, Mo.), Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa (Gatlinburg, Tenn.) and Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino (Las Vegas). To be eligible, military members must have served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and/or The War on Terror (Service dates of Sept. 11, 2001, through today).
