Who Is 1-800-PACK-RAT?

Many times in the Army life military families choose to do DITY moves, as well as move themselves in situations such as upcoming deployments or unaccompanied tours.

Moving yourself is stressful enough without the worries of how you’re going to store your household goods or how you will get your possessions to your next destination.

That’s where 1-800-PACK-RAT can help you. 1-800-PACK-RAT is a portable storage container and moving company that provides a stress-free, convenient and flexible option for moving and storing your belongings.  The idea for PACK-RAT began in North Carolina in 2001 with a sketch of an all-steel weatherproof portable storage design that was jokingly referred to as a “pack rat” because of its ability to store everything. PACK-RAT now services over 115 million people in 62 markets nationwide and continues to grow.

How PackRat Works?

1-800-PACK-RAT brings a storage container to your home, whether it be on base or off. This allows you to pack your belongings on location at your own pace.  When you are ready, we pick up your full container. We can store it in one of our climate controlled warehouses, or deliver it to your new location. The convenience of being able to load at your own pace gives you more time with your family and the freedom to get more done before your move.
