I will be the first to admit that I love shopping at the PX for somethings and because it’s tax free. All that said at times I am not fond of their prices. In fact when it comes to certain items I find them to be over priced.
Nonetheless there are some good reasons to shop there such as their clearance, the fact that it’s tax free, the convenience of it if you live on post, price matching, and the year round layaway.
For those who who have children who still play with toys be sure to check your mailboxes as AAFES has mailed out their annual Holiday Toy book with over $475 in toy coupons. I received mine yesterday and see a couple of things I will be picking up .Coupons for everything from Leap Frog products to action figures and more are included and the prices on the items surprisingly aren’t half bad.
There is also a special offer for Star Card users!
I’m sure the politically correct folks would prefer I don’t condone the use of credit but hell if you have a Star Card and you aren’t blowing it on BS then Christmas might be the time to use it within reason if you score some decent prices.

We did her toy shopping there last year but I’m going to pass on the PX this year. I did save tons of money by using the catalog coupons along with manufacturer coupons and my Star Card though. This year I’m keeping it simple. I’m straight Amazon.coming it, LOL!
