My cousin mentioned this 4 ingredient recipe to me a few weeks ago when we were chatting on Facetime. I kind of forgot about it until I was on Pinterest the other day and saw it on her board. I had fed my kids chili dogs and pizza the last day or two , so I figured it was time to make a “real” meal but with my schedule it needed to be easy but hearty.

I don’t want to take credit from the original blogger whose blog this was posted on so I will be sure to post her link with the recipe. I did want to share some of the differences I did with my recipe.

Ingredients That I Used:

1 pack boneless skinless chicken thighs

Badia Complete Seasoning (thanks Mom Files for getting me hooked on this seasoning)

Minced Onions

Salt

Pepper

Can of cream of chicken

Half container of Sour Cream

What I Did:

Just season chicken with seasonings and place in Crockpot

Dump the 2 boxes of dry stuffing over it

Combine Cream of chicken and Sour cream together and pour over chicken and stuffing

I then seasoned the top of that with dried parsley and more pepper and Badia complete seasoning.

Cooked on low for 6 hours. The other recipe says 4 but I don’t play with chicken I needed to make sure it was going to be done lol!

  1. I make something similar ( i guess) boneless chicken or drunsticks work too. i can of cream of mushroom soup,alittle water and seasoning on your choice….mix soup with water and seasoning dump on top of chicken (in crock pot)….cook till done….serve over rice or noodles….my kids love it……

  4. Mmmmm! Looks good. Reminds me of something my stepmom used to make. Only difference is she used cream of mushroom and added in corn. Easy comfort food.

  6. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer, but holy MSG and salt! (With a side of BPA from the canned soup.) I realize we can all use some easy, convenient recipes in our arsenal, but this is probably worse for you than chili dogs and pizza. I’m not trying to be negative – I think you are great and wish the best for you and your family in all aspects of life, including your health!

  7. I make something similar. Except use cream of mushroom then mix it with the sour cream, add french style green beans to that mixture. Layer chicken, green beans, and the stuffing mix (cook stuffing like it says on package). We call it chicken green bean casserole :)
