It’s no doubt that many of us will be celebrating Veteran’s Day with our heroes tomorrow. At the same time many folks are looking for different ways to support our military in honor of the awesome things those past and present have done. Papa John’s is making this easy and possible because they have partnered with the USO to help lift the spirits of our service members and their families.
I personally know how much the USO has helped us during layovers and on PCS moves while passing through the airport. I am truly touched by the folks who work there and volunteer there time so this means alot to me when I hear that businesses are partnering up with them to help our brave troops.

I love this! My favorite Papa John’s Pizza topping has to be their sausage. Nobody else makes it like they do. I always order from them just for it! And definitely going to get pizza tomorrow now!

When I was flying from Hawaii to be with my husband before we were married, I had an 8 hour, overnight layover. Had it not have been for the uso, I would have sat in the airport alone all night instead of having somewhere to sleep(they had beds).

My husband went to the USO at the airport in Charlotte when he was on a layover for emergency leave. They do so much and the volunteers are very much appreciated!
My Favorite Papa Johns pizza is Pineapple and Ham dipped in their yummy garlic sauce :-) and the last time I used the USO was when I was traveling from my first duty station back home to visit my family.

I used the USO at the Dallas-Fort Worth airport while I was delayed coming home from a business trip. My husband had just come home from a 12 month deployment the day before my trip, and to be delayed in the Dallas airport really bummed me out. I wanted to be home with my husband and spend time with him. Luckily I was able to go to the USO, have a nice meal and spend some quality time with the ladies there. They lifted my spirits and am grateful I had that opportunity there. After about 10 hours of delays, I was finally able to return home to my husband. Thank you USO for being there for me that day!
I never used to eat as much papa johns as I do now, thanks to my husband. Every Friday it’s pizza from PaPa Johns, my Cav of course is pepperoni. I always have to order the wings n cinna pie,mmm…..

I dont typically use the USO’s at airports but I do have a story of how they’ve helped me and why I absolutely love our USO and the wonderful people who work in them to support us. My husband happened to be visiting his family during the earthquakes in Haiti while I and my son stayed behind. While I waited to learn if he and his family had survived this horrible tragedy, the Ft.Eustis USO , along with his Chain of Command, fellow Army wives and Soldiers, and our FRG, rallied around and supported me. The wonderful lady who works at the Eustis USO was in my living room almost immediately upon receiving word of what was happening and not only donated calling cards so that I could attempt to reach him but kind, comforting words. Her very presence helped remind me that, even when seperated from family, we are always surrounded by the wonderful people we meet in this Army life. I wasnt alone and , for that, I’m grateful.

Love the garlic dipping sauce and the peppers they put in every box :) as for the USO, i didnt even know about that. my husband just got out of basic so the only flight we have had is a direct flight from Dallas to Honolulu so we haven’t got a chance to use their awesome services!

My favorite Papa John’s Pizza toppings are sausage and mushroom and if you asked my kids it’s just CHEESE. I have never personally used the USO, but I know my husband has several times both at airports when all the other eateries were closed and here on base at Fort Drum they provide lunch to the soldiers daily. What they do is amazing and we appreciate them so much !

Papa John’s Hawaiian BBQ Chicken , yuuuummmy!
I used the USO in Frankfurt, Germany. I had never been out of the 50 United States and flew by myself to Germany to meet my then boyfriend, now husband. He was 45 minutes late due to traffic and finding parking. I was scared out of my mind thinking what if he did not show up am I going to be stuck here for a week. I had a soldier come up to me an ask if I needed help finding a place and took me to the USO where my now husband came looking for me. So wonderful they have these places overseas for people especially me who did not know but a few German words.
My favorite Papa Johns topping is Mushrooms and Pepperoni! With some garlic butter on the side :)

I’ve had nothing but great experiences with the USO. This was one of my first experiences with them. I was home visiting family in IN when NC had a really bad snow/ice storm. My connecting flight from Chicago to Raleigh had been canceled once I had already boarded my flight from Indianapolis to Chicago. I wasn’t allowed to get back off, so I was going to be stranded in the airport over night. I decided to head to the USO and see if I could spend the night there. I was, at first, discouraged because the hours on the door stated that they closed at 9PM. The kind lady at the desk told me to talk to the supervisor to see if he would stay overnight to allow me to stay. He was so nice. He said that he’d be delighted to. He went above and beyond. He gave me blankets and found some pillows so that I could sleep comfortably and he woke me up in time for my flight out in the morning. It was one of the kindest things anyone has ever done for me. I will never forget it.

We love Papa John’s! It’s always a two pizza night in our household though! My husband likes mushrooms and sausage, whereas my daughter and I are more traditional. We like just cheese :)
