While I may not have been the biggest fan of living in Hawaii , I do have some really great memories from living there. One of the best ones was visiting Pearl Harbor a place with so much history and the perfect place to visit in Hawaii to remember those who served our country.

Recently Operation Shower teamed up with several sponsors including Carousel Designs and Lend Lease US Community fund to give forty military moms who spouses were deployed or the wives of Wounded Warriors a “You Are My Sunshine” themed baby shower at Joint Base Pearl Harbor.

“Operation Shower is a non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating and honoring military families by providing joyful baby showers for military moms-to-be to ease the burden of deployment, or in cases where spouses are seriously injured”.

The military moms received a wonderful catered lunch and had a chance to meet other moms to be. They also received the signature “Shower In A Box” that included much needed items for any new mother such as crib bedding, diaper bags , clothing and more.

Other hosts and sponsors included Esme Infante Nii, editor/host and chief executive mom at MomsInHawaii.com a community for moms in Hawaii and “Birdies For The Brave” a national military outreach initiative proudly supported by the PGA TOUR designed to show support and appreciation to the courageous men and women of our U.S. Armed Forces and their families.
