I’ve talked quite a few times about my battle with being comfortable with my weight and how long it took me to say hell with it and be comfortable in wearing dresses. Now that I think of it I have always hated dresses because I felt like they were to much work and I knew that wearing a dress usually meant wearing stockings.

All that aside my friend Tye from Diary of A Chic Mommy (and one of my closest Army Wife pals I met in Hawaii) has been super instrumental in getting me into wearing dresses and because of her I feel like a new woman!

I had seen the Fashion To Figure website before and had heard a lot about it from Tye who is a frequent shopper there. They sell everything from casual wear to dresses in sizes 12-26. Their prices are extremely affordable , their clothes stylish and yes they always have some kind of sale or good coupon code available.

Quite some time ago Fashion To Figure sent me the following Button Trim Ponte dress to try out but I have to admit I was still struggling with my “dress wearing fear”. I finally was heading to church one day and needed something to wear and I took one look at the dress that had been hanging in my closet for months and said “today is the day to wear you”.

One of my biggest fears was the stomach area appeared to be clingy and the fact that it had a zipper up in the back. Let’s just say “baby got back” and I was really nervous that my rare end  would not look right and that it would not zipper up.  I must confess I think my curves filled this dress out perfectly.

It did also help that I seen Michelle Obama in a similar dress so I felt pretty darn chic!

Good girdle plus good quality dress=problem solved!

While it appears that this dress isn’t available anymore there are tons more dresses similar to this on the FTF online store. I have some really fun events that I will be taking you along with me to via my blog and I will be doing a lot of my shopping at Fashion to Figure.

Don’t forget to tune in to see what else is up in the Plus Size Diaries!

Disclosure: This dress was provided to me to try out and for my honest opinion. All opinions are my own and true and no further compensation was received.
