With having two school age children, it is extremely important for them to have a good healthy breakfast every morning to start off their day. Everyday many kids go to school without this one vital meal for various reasons. Breakfast is essential in that I know for me personally it keeps me from having that foggy , no energy feeling. While I admit that I don’t eat breakfast the minute I get up , I always try to grab a shake or toast just to have something on my stomach. I make sure the kids do the same.

That’s why it’s so cool that Kellogg’s has teamed up with Action for Kids and created “Share Your Breakfast”, which will aide in helping kids not go to school hungry.

My daughter starting off the morning right!

“Kellogg’s is asking people to take pictures and “share their breakfast” on their website (http://www.shareyourbreakfast.com). One photo upload to http://www.shareyourbreakfast.com or the word SHARE texted with a photo or a description of your breakfast to 21534 equals one shared breakfast.

That’s really a simple thing to do and one text will feed another human being . I text all day , so why not help someone in the process?

Kellogg’s goal is to share 1 million breakfasts in the 2011-2012 school year.

  • Nearly 1 in 4 kids in America struggle with hunger.

  • The Kellogg Company believes in the power of breakfast and how breakfast can help families make the most of each day’s possibilities.

  • Through July, Kellogg’s is asking people to take a picture of their breakfast and share it at ShareYourBreakfast.com

  • Share your breakfast with Kellogg’s, and they’ll share breakfast with a child who needs it.

Want Another Way To Help?

Sure thing! In addition to text your breakfast photo , you can also sign up and attend the Share Your Breakfast Twitter Party!

Party Time: Tuesday, March 8 from 10 – 12 AM EST

For every tweet tomorrow with your breakfast description and the #shareurbreakfast hashtag Kellogg’s will donate a breakfast to a child who lives in a food insecure home.

I know there are some die hard tweeters, eaters, and texters so join in the fun while helping out others.
