There is lots to do in Fayetteville, but sometimes you want to do something a little different outside of dinner and a movie– that is unless you literally do dinner and a movie together.

This past weekend we headed up to CineBistro in Cary which is less than an hour from Fayetteville, and did just that. We had dinner and a movie at the same time. CineBistro is the new wave of upscale cinemas that offers in theater dining along with huge plush electric recliner chairs, and the option to sip on your favorite wines and beverages as well.

Entering The Cinema

When we arrived we walked into to a beautiful chic lobby with a full bar and a lush lounge with plenty of seating. The bar offers all of your favorite drinks and the prices for them are for the most part comparable to drinks at a normal restaurant. My small glass of Moscato was about $6 and and a large glass was about $8.50.

Movie Tickets

CineBistro provided me with complimentary tickets and a meal voucher. However, movie ticket prices are $12.50 before 4PM and after 4pm tickets are $15.50.  People under 21 are not admitted after 6PM. While ticket prices are a bit more then your average movie ticket you are definitely paying for the experience, and the convenience of reserved seating because you get to choose where you want to sit when booking your tickets online via Fandango. You can absolutely purchase your tickets on arrival, but seats do go fast so I suggest reserving online.

The Theater and Dining Experience

Our movie started at 5:30 and we were there 30 minutes before as the site suggests. The reason for this is that the wait staff begins to place your snack/dinner orders before the trailers begin to minimize interruptions. While there were people who lingered in later, I highly suggest being there on time so that you can get the full experience and see the menu before the lights go down. We were greeted by a really nice waiter named Leo who promptly took our order. Our drinks were delivered to us right away and our dinner selections of a 12oz steak, roasted shallots , potato frites, and a really tasty creamy mac and cheese came in less than 10 minutes. Our dinner was great and our steaks were cooked to our personal preference perfectly.

The menu itself is reasonable for this kind of experience. While we splurged on a higher priced option ($26), you can get basics like burgers and fries for $12.95 or even a crab sandwich for a little under $14. You can view the entire menu for the Cary, NC location here and for other locations here.

The theater itself is amazing. Walking down the hallway into the theater is chic and stylish by itself. The lights are dim and it definitely sets the ambiance for a great date night. As you enter the nice size theater which fits about 60 people, you are greeted by  huge plush electric leather recliner chairs. They are so big you cannot see the person’s head or body in front of you. They recline all the way back into a laying position. I loved this because there is literally 2+ feet of space in front of you and even if someone is sitting next to you the chairs are so big that you don’t feel like they are invading your space. Each chair has a table attached to it and your chair has plenty of cup holder space and room to hold popcorn too. I should add desserts are available if you don’t want dinner.

Waiter service stops once the movie begins, but you are free to leave the theater and go get more food. Another plus is that fountain drinks offer free refills.

After The Show

After the movie ended we headed back to the lobby and decided to sit in their beautiful lounge. The lounge has plush couches and chairs and you can enjoy drinks in there. It is the perfect place to sit, chat, and enjoy the rest of the evening. I definitely enjoyed my glass of Moscato.
