Patriotic holidays always make me think of the sacrifices of our troops. One of my passions is our military personnel, hence the reason I started this blog. I wanted to help military by helping the people they love…their spouses. Additionally I look for other ways to help too, whether it’s sending off care packages to a soldier, answering an email, talking to a reader on the phone, and in this case helping to raise awareness about our Wounded Warriors.

As you know over the past few months I have been sharing about how Brawny Paper Towels has partnered with The Wounded Warrior Project to help some of America’s heroes. The WWP offers many different type of programs to help those who have been wounded in action and those who also suffer from invisible wounds. I identify with wanting to help these men and women because everyday I hear from military spouses who are dealing with the some of the challenges that come along with having a loved one in this position.

The great thing about the WWP is that their mission is to get our wounded troops back up on there feet mentally and physically . This all coincides with the Inner Strength campaign via Brawny. Some of the key focuses of recovering warriors are not only inner strength but perseverance. I have been brought to tears learning about the stories of these wounded warriors who despite the severity of their injury have pushed forward to make life better for themselves and their families.

It’s always exciting for me to share ways that you can help too. The great part is you can help just by doing something that I know many of you do everyday…GOING ON FB! Last year Brawny raised $500,000 for Wounded Warriors and this year they are almost at their $600,000 goal. You can help them reach it in one of the following ways:

* Like Brawny Paper Towels on Facebook

*Share a note of thanks on the Brawny Towels Facebook Wall

*Text THANKS to 272969

Remember for any one of those above options you do Brawny will donate $1 to the Wounded Warrior Project. This will helpful initiative will last until December 31, 2013 , so you have the remainder of the year to not only join in but share with your friends too.
