When my soldier is deployed I love to honor him in anyway that I can. His first deployment I contacted the local news station in Savannah , for their nightly hero salute so that he could be featured and know that I was proud and thinking of him. I know many military family members are always looking for cool ways to honor their service member and below is a great one.

The good folks at CNN recently contacted me to share a great feature on their website called the “Digital Salute”.

CNN and Headline News are giving families the amazing opportunity to send their loved ones in the Armed Forces a digital salute with custom audio, photos, and messaging while they are at camp or overseas!

With the new ‘create your own Salute to Troops’ website, you can build your own customized, multimedia salute featuring photos of your hero, his or her name and rank, even your voice if you want. Then you can and send it off immediately!
You can create your own Digital Salute here !!!!!

Check out CNN Headline News anchor Robin Meade as she shows a military family how to send a Digital Salute.

So whose gonna send a Digital Hero Salute ?

Let us know about your hero and what you think of the Digital Salute feature!
