Sears announced yesterday on it’s community blog that it will no longer continue there annual “Heroes At Home Wish Registry”.

No reason was given as to why they decided to and frankly after all they have done for military families (myself included) they aren’t obligated too disclose that. However, the blogger in me has to assume that some of the military spouse community ( yes I am saying it and if you get mad then you know it’s true) brought this on themselves.

Year after year there was constant complaints about the amount of money given on the cards, the process to get the gift cards and numerous other complaints that really shouldn’t have been made considering we were getting something for free.

Again I don’t work for Sears and I am certainly not speaking on their behalf and in no way represent them. Needless to say (even though I may be way off base with my assumptions for why they closed the program)  it’s sad that a program like this which helped bring cheer to those who may have had some financial issues is no more.

Well at least I know longer have to spend year after year waiting for the aftermath of the annual gift card frenzy!
